Statement jewelry has been all the rage in Hollywood and the runways these days. From chunky collar necklaces to stacks of bangles or even a charming cocktail ring, jewelry has never been more outspoken in the world of fashion. Jewelry designs are more vibrant, and over-the-top.

This trend has stayed on season after season. That’s because it always makes sense to invest in the tried and true. But, to the recession-stricken fashionista, choices are few.

Here’s good news —when it comes to wearing a bold confident look this season, really, less is more. That is an edge worth keeping. Forget the flash.
