In these trying times, life rarely comes easy with our present economic difficulties. Bu then, pessimism doesn’t do any good. We have no other way out but to go up. It has been said, “When the going gets rough, the tough gets going”. Here are a few “tough gets going” tips I have learned from motivational guru Jim Rohn:
· Keep learning. We need to pay more attention to what we see, listen more carefully to what we hear, read more, and communicate more to people who care.
· Try your best. Make a difference and make some progress. When you do something, don’t just do it, give it all you got. Try a new skill –for example, bead jewelry making, a profitable craft. (Inexpensive beads resources are within your reach.) Crafting relieves stress better than any hobby.
· Stay. When you start out on something –a commitment, a project, or a personal goal, work at it and see it through. When the worst comes up, wrapping it up must only be the last resort.
· Care enough to turn “bad” things around. If we just care at all, and better yet, we care enough –change for the better comes along more easily.
These are just some “we’ve heard that before” thoughts but so often disregarded. These tips made a difference in my life. It can work for you, too.
